ASTM Test Methods Explained
The performance of coil coated steel is measured using standardized ASTM test methods that evaluate how the coating holds up over time.
Adhesion Testing ASTM D3359
Measures how well the paint film bonds to the steel surface. This test confirms resistance to peeling, cracking, and flaking over time.
Color Retention ASTM D2244
Measures how much color changes when exposed to sunlight and weather. Results are recorded using Delta E values to ensure fade remains within defined limits.
Chalk Resistance ASTM D4214

Corrosion Resistance ASTM B117

Important Conditions
To ensure long term performance, this warranty applies when the following conditions are met.
Panels must be properly installed on approved substrates using accepted industry installation practices.
Panels must be properly maintained and kept free of debris, standing water, and conditions that may trap moisture against the surface.
Panels must be used in normal residential, agriculture, or commercial enviroments.
Panels must not be exposed to harsh chemical enviroments, saltwater enviroments, or highly corrosive conditions beyond standard use.
Failure to follow proper installation or maintenance practices may affect warranty coverage.
