PROPER HANDLING & CARE

INDUSTRY STANDARDS FOR PROPER HANDLING AND CARE OF SHEET METAL PANELS AND TRIM

  • ALL GALVALUME AND COLORED SHEET PANELS MUST BE KEPT DRY.

  • Install panels immediately.

  • Sheet panels may be slippery, proper fall safety precautions must be used when installing sheet panels.

  • Keep panels dry at all times.  Do not expose panels to any conditions that may allow condensation between panels.

  • If the panels are to be stored for an extended period of time they must be kept dry.

  • Do not stack panels on the ground.  They will draw moisture.

  • Any moisture between sheets will immediately begin to damage the coating if they are allowed to remain stacked together.

  • Wet storage will void manufacturer's warranty.

AFTER INSTALLING SHEET PANELS

After drilling holes through the sheets you will have raw metal shavings that have come from the sheet panels and the metal you have fastened it to.  These metal shavings will stick to the sheet panels and begin to rust.  They must be carefully removed from all sheet panel surfaces after installation to prevent rust spots.

Failure to follow these steps may result in wet storage stains and premature rusting.  The manufacturer's warranty will be void at this time; therefore, Allsteel Inc. and the coil manufacturer will not be responsible.

NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE ON CUSTOM CUT SHEET PANELS AND TRIM.
